Isn't she adorable? Our Soumba Doll wears a maxi kaftan in our hand block printed meadow design, finished with contrast handmade two tone tassels. Matching turban and little gold earrings complete her super cute outfit. Maybe we can get one made in our size too?

Each piece is cut and stitched in Silaiwali's beautiful studio in Delhi, who work in partnership with Fair Trade Forum India and the UNHCR and currently provide sustainable incomes for for around 90 Afghan women refugees.  You can learn more about this project here

About

Delhi is a huge centre for textile production in India. A large quantity of fabric waste is generated and is almost always thrown out. SilaiWali decided to gather these scraps from various factories and to give them a second life through upcycling.

Founders Iris and Bish had previously worked with refugees and rural Indian craftswomen, and they now train these women in design, stitching and embroidery to make these unique collectable dolls. You can read more about these women in our artisan section.

Returns & Refunds

Items can be refunded within 14 days of your order being received.

We cannot accept returns unless we have been contacted beforehand and the return has been agreed. Please email orders@ainoah.co.uk

Provided items are returned unused and in perfect condition we will refund the full amount for the style minus the initial shipping costs, unless your order is damaged/faulty.

We recommend using a recorder or trackable postal service as any returns are at your own risk.
